Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated first-generation student to join our firm during the 2025 summer season. As a Summer Associate, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside experienced attorneys and participating in a wide range of legal tasks and projects. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the law and eager to learn and contribute to our firm’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with legal research and writing, including drafting memoranda, briefs, and legal opinions.
- Support case preparation by reviewing documents, conducting fact-checking, and organizing case files.
- Participate in client meetings, court proceedings, and depositions, as applicable.
- Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy and legal arguments.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in law school and will have completed their 1L year by the start of the program.
- First-generation graduate student (first member of their immediate family to attend a graduate program), required.
- First-generation undergraduate student (first member of their immediate family to attend an undergraduate program), preferred.
- Demonstrates academic achievement and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to contributing to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
