Elizabeth B. Grill is Senior Counsel in the Casper office and a member of the Taxation and Trusts & Estates and Commercial Transactions Practice Groups. She helps clients solve problems efficiently and with integrity. Her practice focuses on transactional and advisory work in business law, real estate, and estate planning. She assists clients with business formation, drafts and negotiates contracts, and handles a wide range of real estate issues, always guided by the question: How can she be most helpful?

Elizabeth believes in a collaborative, practical approach to law—protecting her clients’ interests while avoiding unnecessary work or expenses. She is upfront with clients about her style: honest, professional, and focused on delivering results without unnecessary aggression. She understands that legal issues are often deeply personal and works to support clients through stressful situations with clarity and care.

Earlier in her career, Elizabeth’s guardian ad litem work with children inspired a deeper passion for advocacy and shaped her path forward. One of her most impactful cases involved constitutional questions around grandparent visitation rights, where the Wyoming Supreme Court’s ruling added important parameters to the statute.

Elizabeth has deep family roots in Wyoming, dating back to the 1890s. She is a fourth-generation University of Wyoming graduate. Her great-great-grandmother, Marie, was the first woman to serve in the Wyoming Legislature, and her great-great-grandfather, Charles, was the state’s first licensed engineer.

She was previously a partner at Schwartz, Bon, Walker & Studer, LLC, focusing on governmental law, insurance defense, and family law, and has served as a prosecutor and Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) instructor. Prior to law school, Elizabeth worked in the finance industry.

Outside the office, Elizabeth enjoys life with her husband, two children, and their dogs. Her family loves the outdoors—skiing, spending time at their cabin in southern Wyoming, and cheering on their kids. Elizabeth stays closely connected to the University of Wyoming and regularly visits for special events.
