Jaci Ohayon is an attorney in Crowley Fleck’s Immigration and Employment Practice Groups, where she advises individuals and businesses on immigration matters. With nearly two decades of legal experience, she brings both a deep understanding of immigration law and a personal connection to the issues her clients face. Having lived as an immigrant herself and being married to an immigrant, Jaci understands how immigration decisions affect not only individuals, but also their families, careers, and futures.

In her practice, Jaci helps clients navigate the complexities of immigration law, from understanding their options to addressing the challenges businesses face when hiring and retaining foreign talent. She recognizes that no two situations are alike and takes a practical, thoughtful approach to finding solutions that account for each client’s needs and circumstances.

Jaci’s interest in immigration law began with an unexpected experience during college. While on a fishing trip in the Florida Keys, she witnessed the U.S. Coast Guard arrest a man at sea. The encounter sparked her interest in immigration and ultimately led her to pursue it as a career.

Jaci regularly speaks on immigration matters and has delivered an immigration-focused TEDx talk. She has also been interviewed on television and quoted in newspapers about immigration issues. She is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), serving on committees in both the Global Migration Section and the Rome Chapter.

Originally from Alaska, Jaci has lived and studied in Norway, Australia, China, Costa Rica, France, the Dominican Republic, and Switzerland. These experiences have given her a broad international perspective and a personal appreciation for the adjustments that come with living in another country. She studied French in Paris and continues to work toward fluency.

Away from the office, Jaci enjoys reading, writing, snowboarding, and traveling. She also loves cooking decadent meals for her family and spending time with her many rescue animals.
