Lauren Halverson is an Associate in the Helena office. She practices in labor and employment law, where she represents employers in a range of workplace matters. Her work includes responding to complaints before the Human Rights Bureau, reviewing employment contracts and agreements, and drafting workplace policies and communications on behalf of companies. She is particularly attentive to issues that involve discipline, workplace changes, and other sensitive matters that require both legal precision and a thoughtful approach.
Lauren believes that clients, attorneys, and staff all benefit when goals are transparent and shared, especially in the emotionally charged situations that often arise in employment disputes. Her temperament and experience allow her to remain level-headed and constructive, ensuring that both the legal and human dimensions of a case are carefully addressed.
She previously served as a clinical intern representing clients experiencing domestic violence—work that deepened her ability to navigate highly personal and conflict-driven legal disputes. In law school, she served as a legal research and writing teaching assistant and as Symposium Editor of the Montana Law Review. She also helped found the Montana Transparency Project, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to increasing public access to state government information.
Outside of her practice, Lauren enjoys running, hiking, and skiing in Montana’s outdoors.
