Lindy Lauder is a Partner in the Missoula office. She is an experienced and dedicated attorney specializing in Banking, Finance, Bankruptcy, and Creditors’ Rights. Lindy provides strategic legal counsel to financial institutions, lenders, and businesses on a wide range of issues related to banking and finance, banking regulations, debt recovery, creditor protections, and bankruptcy. Her primary objective in representing her clients is to provide practical and effective solutions to help protect their interests and recover debts in an efficient manner. Her practice includes advising on complex loan arrangements, drafting and reviewing loan documents, conducting loan file audits and reviews, negotiating and preparing loan workouts and restructuring, assisting with collections and foreclosures, and representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.   

Lindy has represented banking clients in complex litigation and workout scenarios involving loan defaults, secured transactions, bankruptcy proceedings, and debt restructuring. She is adept at navigating federal and state laws to protect creditors’ interests and to ensure efficient debt recovery, while minimizing risk. In addition, Lindy has extensive experience in negotiating settlements and loan workout agreements, advising on loan document preparation, and providing compliance guidance to banking clients to mitigate legal and regulatory risk. 

Lindy also represents creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. With a deep understanding of bankruptcy law, Lindy is dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of creditors, guiding them through some of the complexities of the Bankruptcy Code and bankruptcy proceedings. She has successfully represented a wide range of creditors in debtor-in-possession cases and liquidation proceedings to ensure the creditors recover as much of their owed debts as possible while minimizing losses and risk. 

The nature of Lindy’s practice allows her to develop long-term, productive relationships with her clients. She enjoys getting to know her clients on a personal level, working closely with them, and their customers, to reach practical solutions to complicated issues. She especially enjoys assisting her banking clients on complex loan workouts, and the often extensive negotiations required to reach a successful resolution.

Lindy is a lifelong athlete. She played collegiate basketball for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and is an avid golfer. Most recently, Lindy trained and competed in regional fitness competitions. She is also an avid supporter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association, an organization dedicated to raising scholarship funds for student athletes at the University of Montana. Prior to joining Crowley Fleck in 2016, Lindy clerked for Chief Justice Roger S. Burdick at the Idaho Supreme Court.

In her free time, Lindy can be found golfing, playing volleyball, training for her body building competitions, and above all, spending time with her dogs – the Missoula office’s unofficial mascots.
