Ashton Love is an Associate in Crowley Fleck’s Tax, Trusts and Estates and Commercial Transactions Practice Groups. His developing practice focuses on helping individuals, families, and businesses plan for the future, navigate complex legal issues, and put the appropriate legal documents and structures in place to accomplish their goals.

Ashton is drawn to the problem-solving aspect of practicing law. He enjoys helping clients work through difficult questions and understand their options so they can make informed decisions. His work includes legal research and drafting documents related to estate planning, tax, and business matters.

One of the most important lessons Ashton took from law school is that legal questions do not always have a single correct answer. The law frequently involves ambiguity, competing considerations, and different possible approaches to the same problem. He believes an effective attorney must be comfortable working through that uncertainty while identifying practical solutions that reflect each client’s particular circumstances and objectives.

Ashton’s interest in the legal profession began as an undergraduate. An internship with the United States Senate gave him firsthand exposure to the intersection of law, government, and public policy and helped inspire his decision to attend law school. He ultimately became the first person in his family to pursue a legal education.

Although Ashton has called several parts of the country home, Wyoming has remained an important part of his life. He has lived in Wyoming, Arizona, North Carolina, Alaska, and Nebraska and returned to Wyoming after law school. Those experiences have exposed him to a variety of communities and perspectives that shape how he approaches his work and relationships with clients.

Ashton credits his parents as important influences and values maintaining close relationships with his family. As the oldest of two siblings, family continues to play an important role in his life both personally and professionally.

Outside the office, Ashton enjoys attending concerts, hiking, traveling, and exploring mountain towns. He also enjoys spending time with his family and dogs. Always interested in a new challenge, Ashton hopes to overcome his fear of heights by going skydiving someday.
