Bradford (Brad) J. Brown is a Partner in the Helena office with more than 15 years of experience in complex commercial litigation matters, primarily focusing on construction-related matters in Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
Brad has served as a Commercial and Natural Resources Litigation Practice Group Leader since 2015. Throughout his career, he has represented architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, surveyors, owners, and material suppliers over various legal matters, including litigation, arbitration, mediation, and professional licensing disputes. Brad’s practice encompasses all phases of litigation and construction contract drafting and negotiations, as well as construction collection matters, liens, construction defect matters, and contractual disputes between various entities.
In addition to his construction-based practice, Brad has been involved in various commercial litigation matters involving complex business litigation, partnership, and corporate disputes, as well as breach of contract matters involving real estate projects, lease disputes, and complex project delivery systems.
His approach to working with clients emphasizes the importance of seeking legal counsel proactively before disputes emerge. He firmly believes this preemptive strategy can yield substantial time and cost savings for the clients he represents. By addressing potential legal concerns early on, Brad aims to guide clients through challenges seamlessly, minimizing the risk of expensive conflicts later.
In his spare time, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and high-energy children, watching and playing sports of all kinds (including racking up high scores on various golf courses), and enjoying all that Montana has to offer.
