Briana Erickson is an Associate in Crowley Fleck’s Banking and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group and also works on commercial litigation matters. She approaches her developing practice with an emphasis on advocacy, efficiency, and empathy, helping clients navigate legal and business challenges while keeping their objectives at the forefront.
Briana was drawn to the law in part because she enjoys solving problems. She appreciates the puzzle-like nature of legal work—the process of examining the facts, researching the law, considering different approaches, and determining how the pieces fit together to reach a practical solution. She also values the variety the legal profession offers and the opportunity to continually learn about new industries, issues, and areas of law.
Her work in banking and creditors’ rights gives Briana the opportunity to combine that analytical mindset with client advocacy. She understands that legal and financial disputes can present difficult circumstances for the people and businesses involved and believes effective representation requires both careful analysis and an understanding of the client’s broader concerns.
Throughout law school, Briana gained practical experience through clerkships and other legal work while developing the research, writing, and time-management skills necessary for practice. She served as Externals Director on the Moot Court Board and participated in various national moot court competitions. She was also a teaching assistant, and she served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association.
Outside the office, staying active is an important part of Briana’s life. She has taught Pilates, yoga, and sculpt classes and enjoys hiking and camping. Her other interests include cooking and photography. During college, she was also a hockey cheerleader.
