Christopher K. Oliveira is a Partner in the Helena office and a Tort Litigation Practice Group Leader. His practice includes labor and employment litigation and medical malpractice. Chris is dedicated to comprehensively meeting employers’ legal needs, providing day-to-day guidance and litigation support. He advises employers on terminations, employee discipline, handbook review and drafting, and compliance with state and federal law. Chris also litigates matters such as wrongful discharge, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.
Chris also represents hospitals, helping with their daily organization needs, such as navigating regulatory compliance, addressing operational challenges, and providing strategic guidance on matters like risk management and patient care protocols. Chris ensures that hospitals have the legal foundation they need to operate effectively and efficiently. In addition, he works with hospitals, surgical groups, and other healthcare providers on medical malpractice claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris was the law clerk for the Honorable Thomas C. Honzel and the Honorable Kathy Seeley of the Montana First Judicial District Court.
Outside of his law practice, Chris spends his time in the great state of Montana with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. He can usually be found outdoors fishing, hunting, hiking, and skiing.
