Ethan Saberhagen is an Associate in Crowley Fleck’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. A Billings native, Ethan brings a strong connection to Montana and a thoughtful, determined approach to his developing legal practice. He is drawn to commercial litigation by the intellectual challenges it presents and the opportunity to help clients navigate complex legal and business issues.
Ethan approaches his work with an emphasis on preparation, hard work, and persistence. His interest in the law grew from his undergraduate studies in history and philosophy and his fascination with the systems and institutions that shape businesses, communities, and everyday life. For Ethan, practicing law offers the chance to tackle new problems, analyze difficult questions, and develop practical solutions.
Ethan earned his undergraduate degree from Montana State University, where he also competed in track and field as a thrower in the shot put, discus, and hammer. He later earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee. While at Marquette, Ethan also earned a Sports Law Certificate, reflecting an additional area of academic interest and legal study. His law school experience reinforced the importance of time management, discipline, and sustained effort—principles he continues to bring to his professional work.
Returning to Montana to begin his legal career was a natural choice for Ethan. With ties to Billings, Missoula, and Bozeman, he appreciates Crowley Fleck’s deep roots throughout the state and the firm’s commitment to the communities it serves.
Outside the office, Ethan enjoys taking advantage of Montana’s outdoors. He spends his free time golfing, fly fishing, and hiking. His background in track and field also remains important to him, and he hopes to stay involved by helping officiate track meets at Montana State University.
