Jakob Polgar is an Associate in the Billings office. His practice includes commercial litigation and tort litigation. He has handled matters involving construction disputes, property law, contract law, and administrative law, giving him a broad foundation across multiple areas of civil practice. Whether representing clients in complex business disputes or navigating highly technical regulatory issues, Jakob brings a disciplined and analytical approach to problem-solving.

Before joining the firm, Jakob gained experience at ASUM Legal Services, where he provided pro bono assistance to students in small claims, landlord-tenant disputes, and creditor claims. In law school, he was active in advocacy and scholarship, serving as a member of the national moot court team and as an editor for the Montana Law Review. He also co-founded the Freedom of the Press Weightlifting Club, reflecting his combined interest in civic engagement and athletics.

Jakob was drawn to the law from an early age, inspired by the post–World War II era of American history and the lawyers who helped drive social and political change in the 1960s and 1970s. That sense of purpose continues to inform his practice today.

Outside the office, Jakob enjoys spending time with his wife, working on Japanese cars, cooking and baking, and staying active through sports and weightlifting.
