Jared Le Fevre is a Partner in the Billings office and a member of the Taxation, Trusts, & Estates Practice Group. The majority of Jared’s practice is focused on taxation; he represents clients, including oil and gas, energy, and natural resource companies, in federal and state audit and controversy matters before tax authorities and the Internal Revenue Service. Jared also assists clients with probate and estate planning, creditors rights issues, and healthcare matters. 

Jared brings a level of tax expertise that is unique at Crowley Fleck. He earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2010. Jared is always willing to take on unique or difficult cases, noting that his extensive experience in this area of the law is always beneficial when searching for solutions for his clients.  

Jared previously served as president of the State Bar of Montana’s Bankruptcy Section and is the current Chair of the Taxation Committee of the Montana Bar BETTR Section. He regularly shares his taxation knowledge through publications and hosts “Ripped from the Headlines,”  a monthly seminar for Montana CPAs. In 2024, Jared received the Yellowstone Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award for his work representing impoverished individuals in taxation matters. 

Outside of his practice, Jared is active in his church and is a youth group advisor for teenagers. In his free time, Jared is an avid reader and is a founder of three different book clubs.
