Nicholas Romano is an Associate in Crowley Fleck’s Bozeman office and a member of the Commercial Transactions Practice Group. His practice focuses on business organizations and real estate, where he assists clients with a variety of business and transactional matters.
Nicholas approaches his work with an emphasis on clear communication, thoroughness, and practical problem-solving. He values working closely with clients and colleagues and recognizes that different perspectives and experiences can lead to stronger analysis and better solutions for his clients.
A particular strength Nicholas brings to his practice is his ability to communicate and build relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Before entering the legal profession, Nicholas spent several years working in client-facing roles. Those experiences taught him how to listen, communicate clearly, understand what people need, and develop strong working relationships—skills that translate naturally to his work with clients.
Nicholas’s interest in law developed alongside his interest in political science and government. While in Iowa, he worked for the Iowa Legislature during two legislative sessions and later worked for a multi-client lobbying firm during another legislative session, gaining firsthand exposure to both the legislative process and government affairs. Those experiences reinforced his interest in how laws and policies are developed and how attorneys can help individuals and businesses navigate the systems that affect them.
Nicholas attended Iowa State University before earning his J.D. from Drake University Law School in Des Moines. During law school, he earned certificates in public service, food and agricultural law, and legislative practice, and completed coursework in AI Policy and Governance. He was also involved with the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity and the American Agricultural Law Association.
Born in Minnesota and raised in Iowa, Nicholas credits his family with instilling in him the importance of hard work, strong relationships, and seeing a commitment through from start to finish.
Outside the office, Nicholas enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hunting, fishing, and hiking.
