Rebecca (Beccy) Dunnan is Senior Counsel in the Bozeman office and a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She is a seasoned litigator with extensive trial experience, having previously served in key roles at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Beccy’s guiding legal principle is to be prepared for anything. A tenacious investigator, she quickly develops subject-matter fluency and untangles complex disputes, to deliver practical, workable strategies for her clients. Beccy has conducted trials and hearings in federal and state courts nationwide and brings a wealth of firsthand courtroom experience to her litigation practice.

Prior to her current role, Beccy served as Trial Counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, investigating and litigating matters involving financial fraud, corporate disclosures and accounting, capital formation, and digital assets. Before the SEC, Beccy was a Trial Attorney in the Organized Crime and Gang Section of DOJ, prosecuting high-impact RICO cases that spanned multiple jurisdictions. She has also brought her unique experiences to Georgetown University Law Center as an Adjunct Professor, teaching U.S. Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing.

Beccy began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where she handled a broad range of felony, misdemeanor, violent crime, and long-term conspiracy matters and was in court on a near-daily basis. 

Beccy is passionate about public service. After college, she served in AmeriCorps, leading wildfire and disaster recovery efforts in communities across the country. Outside of her professional work, Beccy is an avid runner who has completed a marathon on every continent. She also enjoys fly fishing and spending time outdoors.
