The American Health Care Act of 2017 (AHCA, H.R. 1628, as amended) passed the U.S. House of Representatives on May 4, 2017, by a vote of 217-213. Just yesterday (May 24, 2017) the Congressional Budget Office issued its report and budget deficit findings. Now the bill will proceed to the U.S. Senate for discussions. By all accounts, people are anticipating that the Senate will either significantly change the bill or create its own legislation.
