Kalispell, nestled in northwest Montana mountains, is the commercial, professional, and governmental hub of the Flathead Valley.
Kalispell is located seven miles north of Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, and serves as the gateway to Glacier National Park. The Flathead Valley boasts six of the state’s finest public golf courses. The city is located in close proximity to Whitefish Mountain Resort, a major ski destination, as well as the smaller but family-friendly ski area known as Blacktail Mountain. Nearby Flathead National Forest boasts 2.3 million acres of public land and is known for its wide variety of wildlife and scenic vistas. Logan Health is the area’s largest employer.
