Erik Edison is an Associate in the Bismarck office and a member of the Commercial and Natural Resources Litigation Practice Group. Erik is a real estate and energy law attorney, assisting with a wide range of commercial litigation and transaction issues.
He aids his clients in litigation matters including quiet title cases, land use and property access issues, oil and gas disputes, and land rights issues. Additionally, Erik also works on permitting for land development projects dealing with oil and gas, electric transmission, and renewable energy infrastructure.
Erik spent several years working as a petroleum landman in Western North Dakota. His experience there led to his interest in pursuing land rights and oil and gas law, which eventually led him to the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2018.
Erik excels at focusing on how legal issues impact his clients’ businesses and is passionate about finding creative ways to navigate the complex roadblocks they face.
In his free time, Erik can be found spending time with his family or pursuing his passions, including hiking, mountain biking, and woodworking.
