Griffin focuses on litigating construction, professional liability, commercial, real estate, and business disputes. Griffin has represented engineers, architects, homeowners, lawyers, estates, trusts, homeowners’ associations, and local, national, and international businesses in court. Griffin practices in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and federal trial and appellate courts.
Before joining Crowley Fleck, Griffin worked as a law clerk to Montana Supreme Court Justice Mike Wheat, earned his law degree magna cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School, and earned his mechanical engineering degree with highest honors from Montana State University. Raised in Bozeman, Griffin enjoys running, skiing, and whitewater kayaking when he is not in the office.

Zirkelbach Construction, Inc. v. DOWL, LLC, 2017 MT 238, 389 Mont. 8, 402 P.3d 1244 – Unanimous decision from the Montana Supreme Court to enforce a limitation of liability contract clause and limit the $1.2 million dollar construction defect claim against our client to $50,000 or less.
Matter of Estate of Erickson, 2017 MT 260, 389 Mont. 147, 406 P.3d 1 – Unanimous decision from the Montana Supreme Court to uphold a will and probate order and to award our client its attorney’s fees.
Lone Moose Meadows, LLC v. Boyne USA, Inc., 2017 MT 142, 387 Mont. 507, 396 P.3d 128 – Unanimous decision from the Montana Supreme Court that our client was entitled to summary judgment on its breach of contract claim.
